This video is essentially the same as my previous video that you can find here:    • Superseded: Trezor One: HowTo Wipe, R...   The only difference is that the process for getting to the screen that lets you "wipe" has been updated.

A short video that covers how to do the factory reset (wipe), recover an existing seed (any BIP39 seed) on to your Trezor and how to run the Dry Run Recovery process (How to verify that your existing seed phrase backup is correct). This is also worth knowing about in terms of being familiar with the legitimate process so that you don't fall victim to entering your seed into a phishing site and getting scammed.

Also have a quick look at both the standard recovery and the advanced recovery, talking about why this difference matters, particularly if you have a shorter 12 word seed....

Chapters:
00:00 Intro
00:51 Standard Recovery vs Advanced Recovery
02:00 Wipe Device (Even if PIN forgotten)
02:49 Recover existing Seed (Standard Recovery)
03:50 Verify Seed Backup (Dry Run Recovery)
05:30 Conclusion

---------------------

If you are new to Crypto, my suggestion is that you start with buying ~$150 worth of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin @ Coinbase and get familiar with storing it, moving it around, etc.

For your first purcahse, just stick with CoinBase: https://www.coinbase.com/join/5691c9d...

For Trading, just start with Binance: https://www.binance.com/?ref=18111926

By sticking with large, reputable exchanges for your first purchase (Coinbase) and first trade (Binance) you can avoid getting scammed right at the start by purchasing a non-existing coin off a scammy exchange. (You would be surprised how many people fall into this trap)

Don't have a hardware wallet?
Be safe and buy them direct from the manufacturer. (Not just through some random on eBay, Amazon, etc)
Get a Ledger: https://shop.ledger.com/?r=5243ecbb84...
(If you are just starting out, I would just recommend a Ledger Nano S)
