- Here’s a 10-minute beginner-focused yoga routine to build strength in your core, hips, and back. Made for beginners. 

This 10-minute beginner-focused workout goes through a basic, but effective, sequence for building essential strength in your hips, core, and back. After a thorough warm-up on your back, you’ll stand up and put it all together in chair pose.

This routine is challenging from an endurance perspective - because you’re holding the pose for a long time - but it is appropriate for beginners. Take breaks as needed, and work on learning the proper technique.

This routine goes slowly through proper technique, breathing, and key information for each pose. It also includes modifications to help those who are new or inflexible get the intended benefits. Dialogue is encouraging and focused on building you up, to give you confidence to keep doing these workouts consistently. 

This workout is part of the Men’s Yoga for Complete Beginner Series, featuring easy-to-follow, beginner-focused routines demonstrating appropriate modifications for men who are new to yoga and / or inflexible, as well as proper technique instruction to help you maximize the benefits and avoid the negative effects of improper technique.
