When you purchase a new power steering pump, they usually do not come with a pulley installed AND your old pulley is usually in fine shape. What you need is a Power Steering Pump Pulley Puller/Installer. These can be rented at any auto parts store and will do the trick of removing your pulley from your old pump, and installing it on your new pump.

The power steering pump in the video came from a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7L, but this process is the same for almost all power steering pumps.
