Whether you're building a a new bike, replacing your current handlebars, or just looking to make you rig a little more comfortable this is the most straight forward way to cut your handlebars, this how to details what in my opinion is the EASIEST most consistent way to get the job done.

PSA: This how to is for STEEL or ALUMINUM handlebars ONLY, it will not work on carbon fiber.

What you need:
- A ruler or a tape measure
- A pipe cutter, this is the one I used: https://amzn.to/49k5tZq
- Something to mark your cut, I prefer masking tape for a clean defined line, but a marker gets the job done!

When attaching your pipe cutter to your handlebars be careful to not over tighten, finger tight gets the job done - after each turn of the pipe cutter twist the not 1/16th of a turn, repeat until the job is done. This should only take about 2 minutes. You can cut your bars anywhere, I just used a bike stand for display!
