For the last three summers, TC Energy has partnered with the University of Houston’s College of Natural Sciences & Mathematics to support the TC Energy Summer Scholars Academy that helps STEM-focused students get a jumpstart on their college coursework and connect with their classmates.

The program offers an intensive 9-week program designed for students who have an outstanding high school academic record and are interested in majors in the UH’s College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics or Cullen College of Engineering. Summer scholars can earn credit for Calculus 1. They also receive a preview of Fundamentals of Chemistry and College Success course content.

Upon successful completion of the program, students are evaluated for admittance into their first-choice UH major in NSM or Engineering if they didn’t meet automatic admission requirements.
