China is simultaneously investing in both renewable energy and fossil fuel infrastructure. Despite China's significant contributions to renewable energy technologies both locally and abroad, its domestic coal production and oil imports remain substantial. Similar contradictions within the United States and other Western countries, where there exists the hypocrisy of preaching green energy while continuing to invest in fossil fuels. Is it justifiable to call out these acts of double standards by the West and China?

China may eventually transition to greener development, but for now, economic realities dictate continued investment in fossil fuels.
