This video shows the process how hand forged damascus steel chef's knife is made. We have made damascus steel out of 2 different steels ussing traditional forge method. The first steel is 15N20 (lighter) and the second is O2 (darker). We forged dmascus knife in gas forge and for some parts we have used pneumatic shape. In general we have shaped the knife in forge with the hammer, but for flattening and cleaning the surface we used belt sander. For beautiful knife handle we used Cocobolo wood and coated it with linseed oil.

Thank you blacksmith Adomas Sviklas and Vyrų kalvė - peilių dirbtuvės (EN: Man forge - knife workshop) for great atmosphere, support and know-how sharing!
