Frankly, there wasn’t much wrong with the engine per se, except that it was severely lacking in the power department. To remedy that, we’re doing what any self-respecting Squarebody owner would do and LS swapping it! Find out how we came up on a mystery 5.3-liter LM7 for only $100! Then we’ll show you how bad the cam bearings were and how we managed to replace them without removing the rotating assembly. Finally, we’ll show you the installation of the new valvetrain parts we got from COMP Cams. The little red devil is really going to fly now.
