To free up storage space on your PS5 console, you can try the following:

Delete games and apps that you no longer play or need. To do this, go to Settings - Storage - Games and Apps, select the game or app you want to delete, and choose Delete.

Move games to USB extended storage. You can format a commercially available USB drive as USB extended storage and use it with your PS5 console. To do this, connect your USB drive to a USB port on the back of your PS5 console, go to Settings - Storage, select Games and Apps, choose the game you want to move, and select Move to USB Extended Storage.

Move games to M.2 SSD storage. You can install a commercially available M.2 SSD (that meets the required specifications) to your PS5 console. To do this, turn off your PS5 console, unplug all cables, remove the PS5 console cover, and install the M.2 SSD.

Delete saved data from PS5 console storage. To do this, go to Settings - Storage - Saved Data, select the saved data you want to delete, and choose Delete.

Use cloud storage. PlayStation Plus members can use storage in the cloud. To do this, go to Settings - Saved Data and Game/App Settings - Saved Data (PS5) - Cloud Storage.
