John D. Liu joins Soil Food Web School to talk about Ecosystem Restoration Camps

During Soil Regen Summit 2021: Hope for the Future, filmmaker and ecosystem regeneration expert, John D. Liu, described the inspiration for the Ecosystem Restoration Camps movement. When a film project took him to the Loess Plateau in north-central China, during a massive project to restore that devastated ecosystem and the suffering human communities, John recognized the potential to regreen our deserts and engage people in the process. He has been leading the way ever since and has worked on many ecosystem restoration projects over the last 3 decades, making the most wonderful films along the way!

An internationally-recognized leader in soil microbiology, Dr. Ingham has collaborated with other scientists and with farmers around the world to further our understanding of how soil organisms work together and with plants. Dr. Ingham is an author of the USDA's Soil Biology Primer and a founder of the Soil Food Web School.
