A hand-drawn 2D animation made using charcoal. This fully-loopable animation was created with the intention of being submitted for use in the 2023 Sweaty Eyeballs Animation Festival in Baltimore, MD (https://www.sweatyeyeballs.com/). As far as I'm aware, this animation loop was among those from my class submitted by our professor, Alexi Scheiber (https://alexischeiber.art/), and included in the Sweaty Eyeballs After Party animated short exhibition on October 5, 2023 (withfriends.co/event/16782588/sweaty_eyeballs_after_party_shorts_by_artists_in_the_exhibition), although I was unable to attend in person and cannot attest to the inclusion or success of my work personally. And no, this isn't Miranda Javid's animation, although it seems like we might have had similar ideas based on the image used on the Sweaty Eyeballs website. Based on how this loop turned out, I'm not sure if it ended up looking like rain as much as it looks like snow or comets, but it definitely ended up looking how I was hoping it would and it captured my original hopes for this animation better than I could have expected. And there's something really mesmerizing about leaving it on loop and just watching it over and over.
