WOW! WHAT A REVEAL! Possibly one of the most interesting and important pieces of lore revealed throughout the entire of the Light and Darkness saga. Ahsa explains through Sloane that The Witness is a collection of souls from the very first civilization to every be wronged by the Traveler. Upon being abandoned by the Traveler, they dabbled in Darkness and came together to form the Salvation they crave. I’m still so excited about the implications of this.
