Our task was to find out what failed in the hybrid battery of the Volvo XC90 T8 2.0i 16V GDI Plug-In Hybrid AWD.

The battery has a good quality design and there is no problem to disassemble the battery.
However, the individual battery modules will be very complicated to repair and we recommend replacing the entire module.
We have been able to diagnose the fault, but it is not completely clear to us if the problem is due to natural degradation of the cell or any mechanical or manufacturing problem.
