Compression Testing The 1995 Suburban!!

In this video I perform a compression test on my 1995 GMC Suburban with the 350ci 5.7l engine. This is the most common engine option for the GMT-400 OBS platform which ran from 1988-1998. The reason for the compression test is to try to diagnose a ticking sound. The ticking sound seems to be coming from the passenger side of the motor and may be related to the excess carbon build-up I saw on the spark plug ground electrode during the last tune-up.

The truck featured in this video is a 1995 GMC Suburban with the throttle body injected 5.7L engine. This is the GMT-400 platform also known as OBS. Pretty much the same truck as Tahoe, Yukon, Sierra and Silverado.
