Very happy Diego Luna got his time to shine and prove all the deniers wrong by not only killing it as Andor, but also being apart of the best live action Disney series by a long shot. Britell's score is flavorful and unique across the series, but his work truly shines with the theme he made for Cassian himself. It's a simple six note motif, with a B theme that's just simple ambient strings/sound design played usually at the end of each title theme. But Britell uses it to amazing effect. Whether it be thumping electronic percussion, tribal native drums, hard rock drums, the chords themselves, or almost regal, yearning strings, it tells all you need to know about Cassian with a simple motif and it's utilization throughout the score is so impactful. It's a deeply harrowing, somber, reflective theme, but as the series grows it shows it's determination, it's drive, power, and unyielding resistance, reflecting Andor's growth as the show goes on and as he becomes the hero the Rebellion needs and deserves.
