In preparation for installing an RV carport, I needed to move our existing gravel RV pad and driveway about two feet further inside our property line to meet the Clallam County Building Code requirement for an 8 foot offset from the side property border. First, I relocated the concrete block edging, making it straight instead of curved. Then I moved as much of the existing gravel as possible using a rake and shovel. Next, I determined the amount of gravel needed to fill in the lower areas by measuring the length, width, and depth. Using an online gravel calculator, the amount I needed was three yards. I placed an order with Blake Tile and Stone in Sequim, Washington over the phone, and a couple days later, the gravel was delivered. Diane helped me spread three yards of 5/8" minus crushed basalt gravel using a rake and shovel to fill in the low areas of our RV driveway and pad.
