The majestic and only 'Shalimar' performed by Sachal Jazz at the after party following the premiere screening of the documentary about them 'Song of Lahore' at the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC, 18/04/15. Shalimar is my favorite piece from Sachal Jazz. It is their musical expression of the majestic and heavenly Shalimar Gardens in Lahore, their home town. The Gardens were built during the Mughal Empire and if there is a patch of heaven on this earth, it is surely somewhere within the Shalimar Gardens. For all things Sachal   / khanese  .
