Update 11/2022:
I can not reccomened these lights any longer the new set also burned out the C light. When I took the other headlight apart is it a complete unit that is powered by very small wires which I suspect are the issue as there is heat damage on them. Overall they would be greay lights but don't expect the C light to function for beyone a year or so. See my breakdown here:    • GMC Sierra Spyder Headlights Defective

Update 7/2020:
Since getting my replacement headlight I've had no issues with running the daytime running lights all the time. No other defects have shown up. In fact I like the headlights so much I bought a similar set for my other vehicle. I think I will have to hardwire that one too though for the daytime running lights maybe a video to come soon enough. I still have the defective headlight but have yet to have time to throw it in the oven to take it apart.

Update 1/3/18:
So I got a hold of Spyder Auto again and they will be sending a replacement driver side headlight. I will replace and rewire the DRL and keep you posted. If they allow me to ill keep the old one and take it apart and try to repair it for any future issues.

Update 12/4/18:
So I have had these for just about a year and they had been working great. At the beginning of November the driver side "C" shaped light stopped working. It would either not turn on at all or just have the bottom 3" or so try to light up. I troubleshot the problem and checked fuses and even hooked the "C" light up to direct power to eliminate a bad ground or a short somewhere. The problem has persisted and it appears as though the lights inside the "C" are the problem. In order to fix this you would have to open the housing and then go through and diagnose the problem. THIS IS NOT WORTH IT TO ME. For the time being I have disconnected the wires and capped them to disable the "C" lights.

I contacted Spyder directly who stated they only supply a one year warranty but stated they may be able to exchange the driver headlight for me once they have one in stock. Which they did not have for some odd reason for a major corporation. We shall see if they hold up their end of the bargain when I call back in a few weeks.

For now I would NOT recommend anyone buys these headlights if you want this feature. Not only have I had this issue but I know of three other people who have had the same issue conveniently right after the one year warranty mark.

Update 11/14/2018:
I have noticed today that my driver side C light has gone out. Not sure the issue as of yet and will have to diagnosis it this weekend if you read this and are wondering about longevity or are hesitating on purchasing.

Hey so here is a follow up video on how the lights operate after getting the truck back together after wiring. It goes over how the lights will work on remote start, during the daytime and with the headlights on both low and high beams.
