We had a huge shock to our budget when coming to Singapore. Coming from Malaysia before, we didn't anticipate how big the difference in the cost of living would be. We had a tiny dirty bed in a "hotel" and it was £70 a night. We still really enjoyed seeing the beautiful buildings and of course, touristy spots such as Gardens by the bay.
