If you feel trapped by the terrible things that happened in your past, you must watch this video. Hear me loud and clear when I say this: You are NOT responsible for what happened to you but you have a responsibility to heal yourself moving forward.

You survived your past. It does not define you.

Your power will come when you recognize the difference between “feeling victimized” and continuing to have a “victim mentality” about what happened to you. If you suffered abuse, discrimination, bias, trauma, disrespect, unfairness, you have a right to feel victimized, because you were.

Now it’s about what you do about it. When you have a “victim mentality,” you put all the power over your life in other people’s hands. No matter what has happened to you, you CAN take control of what you do next. You CAN heal yourself. And you CAN create a brand new future that looks nothing like your past.

You can be the one that breaks free. But only if you believe you can.
