How Do Flat Wings Create Lift?

Airplane wings create lift such that they can fly, but how exactly do flat wings create lift?

In this video I'll discuss how engineers and aerodynamicists tackle this surprisingly challenging question. I will discuss Bernoulli's principle of fluid velocity and pressure, as well as Newton's third law and how this applies to wing lift.

I go over as well how aircraft designers decide what type of wing to design for a specific level of flight performance, to include radio control model aircraft and the best wings for these flyers.

In summary, flat wings can fly and they do fly well. In the video, I will demonstrate successful flight of three RC model aircraft that I designed and built.
