Intramuros means "a City within the walls", It's the heart of Old Manila. It was the garrisoned and fortified walled city from which the Spanish ruled Manila. During WWII, it was used as a garrison and prison facility by the Japanese. During the battle of Manila in 1945, hundreds of prisoners inside the dungeons were abandoned by the Japanese. All the prisoners died of suffocation and heat exhaustion. Please join me as we go inside the Dungeons of Fort Santiago in Intramuros, Manila, Philippines.
