Justice delayed is justice denied. India, as a signatory to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, protects human rights through its constitution. Parts III and IV of the constitution ensure the state's obligation to safeguard these rights, with Part III being enforceable. The Supreme Court is empowered to enforce and protect these rights, and other courts can also be authorized to do so. To further protect these rights, it is mandated that the National Human Rights Commission, State Human Rights Commission, and Human Rights Courts be created.
