I've always trusted my good old Toro snow blower, the kind of snow blower that lasts for decades! I prefer to warn you: wait before buying a Toro Power TRX HD Commercial 1428! Because the TRX HD 1428 has a MAJOR traction problem!

Wanting to be true to the brand that I had for a long time because I have a small Power Max 826 OE that works wonderfully, but with the driveway size that has increased and the average traction of the wheels in the hill, I wanted a more aggressive and more powerful tracked snow blower. I found a deal and got a brand new TRX 1428!

By the way, here is an advice from Car Question that we did not respect, always wait a year of life for a new model!

However, the repeated traction problems just make me angry.

- The traction belt goes up in smoke, deteriorates, and sometimes misses grip!
- The right track constantly jerks and skips. Even if perfectly adjusted.
- When you try to climb a hill, the belt heats up, and you lose speed, and even the spring adjustments do not come to an end.
- Screw holding the tracks that come loose. It also changes the track alignment.
- The complete snow blower sometimes shake for nothing (not normal at all)

Usually, I find the problems myself and try to correct them. However, the price it is worth vs. the quality of the snow blower, It's a joke... Also, I thought I was the only one who had this problem, try to check the Toro website, and you will see that everyone has the same trouble!

It is NOT POSSIBLE to believe that this problem was not revealed in the initial quality tests.

So before buying a Toro TRX HD 1428 snowblower, wait until it fixes the MAJOR traction problem!
For now, it's back to the repair shop for our Toro.
