Remembering A Legend: Akira Toriyama

I remember where I was when I got the news. I was sitting in my chair, checking my social medias when a friend on discord DM’d me with a letter talking about the passing of Akira Toriyama. I was in disbelief. I thought for certain that it was a hoax. I checked Google and even Wikipedia to see if it were true. But as I brought up X, I saw it on the Dragon Ball Official X account that he had passed, and I immediately knew it was the end of an era. Too this day, I’m still very sorrowful about this. Dragon Ball was a big part of my life growing up, as it was for so many others, so to hear of Toriyama-Sensei’s passing was a punch in the gut, like losing a close friend. I wanted to do something special however as not only a tribute to the legend himself, but also to the other grieving fans of Dragon Ball, and how better a way than remembering his life? I hope you’ll join me down memory lane as we remember the man who helped define the childhood of so many generations.
