Here is our Skylanders SWAP FORCE Hunting footage from Day 1 of the Swap Force Release. We were lucky enough to get a free starter pack and 12 figures directly from Activision, prior to the official release date of October 13, 2013. But there were still plenty of Wave 1 figures to be hunted!

1st Stop: Toys "R" Us. TRU was having a special midnight event to launch the newest game in the Skylanders franchise. So that was the first store on our list. The main target during this hunt would be the store exclusive Legendary Free Ranger and Legendary Grim Creeper. They were also offering a Buy 1 get 1 40% off deal on all Skylanders figures, so we were hoping to get the majority of wave 1 here. The kids are usually in bed by 9pm, so this task was going to be a solo mission for DaddyTube.

Next stop on the map was Walmart, which opened at 6am. DaddyTube got about 2 hours of sleep after returning home from TRU and uploading our Starter Set unboxing video and Chapter 1 gameplay video. Main target: store exclusive Enchanted Hoot Loop. Arrived at Walmart 10 minutes before opening. No line this time. However, there weren't any figures as well! They hadn't taken the products out of the box and had to wait around for them to pull them from the storage area. One of the boxes was Enchanted Hoot Loop. Mission accomplished!

3rd location: Target
Target: Nitro Magna Charge. Evan was awake by the 7:30am departure time, so he joined DaddyTube on this mission. We were the first ones to arrive at the store and by the time the doors were unlocked, were surrounded by several other Portal Masters waiting to get their hands on all the Swap Force merchandise. They had a small number of the double pack we wanted. Nitro Magna Charge only comes in a double pack with either Rattle Shake or Free Ranger. We got the one with Rattle Shake.

Last stop was Gamestop. There wasn't any rush to go here since we had the Swap Force Dark Edition pre-ordered and reserved. All we had to do was pick it up. The box looked really nice. A lot nicer than the standard starter pack. But it's what's inside that counts anyway, right?

Inside the Dark Edition Starter pack you get the game and 5 dark Skylanders:

Dark Ninja Stealth Elf

At the time of this upload (October 16th) we've already had Wave 2 released at Toys "R" Us and Sam's Club! We went out early this morning to see what we could find. Stay tuned for PART2!!!!
