Eric Thompson, Karl H. Nelson Professor and Chair of Economics, and the director of the Nebraska Bureau of Business Research (BBR), examines the recent developments in Nebraska’s producer services industry.

The producer services industry – which includes businesses which provide services to other businesses – is the fastest growing source of high wage jobs in the United States economy. Dr. Thompson discusses the growth of the industry nationally and in Nebraska, and the potential for faster growth of this high-wage industry in our state.
