MJW 111110 - A social distancing recording with friends of a song I wrote back in 1974. Thanks to Bob Evans, Jack Semple, Roberta Nichol and Georgina Arntzen for joining in the fun from their homes!

What's with the numbers? As an experiment, I am releasing this song in multiple versions. Those 5 numeral ones indicate this version has five singers, the final zero represents no additional percussion. There is already a version on Facebook labelled 111100, that has four singers. I am working on other versions where people double their parts. Since Bob is attached to the second number, when we add his overdub I would add ab to his number: 11ab1110. Why? The original performance we are seeing here is "a", no need to show the "a"s for this original version. "1ab" would indicate we are combining his original performance with a new one. If his slot were labelled "1bc" that would indicate we weren't using the original performance, having replaced it with two new performances, and so on. Think of it as a six-dimensional filing system for a potentially infinite number of versions of this song!
Would you like to sing along? I also plan to release versions with some of the voices removed. "100000" would indicate it was a version with just me singing, for instance, so that other people could join in on the other parts. At the end of the video I have also included the sheet music I wrote out back then, if you're watching in 4K the image should be sharp enough to allow you to pause and print out a screen grab to help you learn the song. Enjoy the journey!
