He has been the screenwriter of many hits, from Shattered Glass to The Hunger Games to Captain Phillips, with three movies last year alone, ranging from Richard Jewell to Terminator: Dark Fate. But his 5th directing credit, The Comey Rule, may be his best work yet. He took some time to chat with David Poland about the film, about being a writer, and about getting to work when madness is all around you.
