Detailed review and test of the Nissan Qashqai E-Power (Rogue Sport), including fuel economy, ride quality, pricing and more.

Nissan’s E-Power hybrid system has finally been launched in the brand’s Qashqai small SUV.

Unlike many other hybrid systems, the E-Power uses a 116kW turbo 1.3L to recharge the Nissan’s battery, leaving a sole 140kW electric motor to drive the Qashqai via the front wheels.

Benefits? We check out if there are noticeable improvements in real-world fuel efficiency and on-road comfort and refinement for the E-Power system fitted to the sole flagship Ti grade.

Price? The Qashqai Ti E-Power clocks in at $51,590 before on-roads, so the nifty petrol-electric tech does command a handsome premium over its small SUV stablemates.
