►All of the fresh air pumped through your BMW's HVAC system comes from outside the car. As you drive along, that outside air is filled with dust, dirt, debris, and pollen, all of which you don't want in your vehicle. The cabin air filter is fitted in place to stop all of that passing through your car, and like an engine air filter, you'll need to replace it after a time. A clogged or overly dirty filter can introduce foul odors, mold, and mildew into the vents, so it's best to replace it when dirty.

In this video, Mike Hidalgo, FCP Euro's Professional DIY'er, replaces the cabin filter in a BMW M4 F82.
