Disclaimer: the I took shortcut on seasoning skillet and did not turn out very good... I have since added other videos that produce a properly seasoned skillet.... LESSON LEARNED!!

Stop!! Don't throw that old rusted cast iron away... restore it yourself, It is not as difficult as you may think to refurbish that old cast iron. With a little effort you can remove all that old rust and reseason that old cast iron and make it better than new....Whether you are cooking on the stove top, making cornbread in the oven, or cooking over the fire in the back country this cast iron skillet, once bound for the trash, will become a treasured part of your cookware.
