222bhp at BBR

208bhp at Autotronix, 4bhp added to give 212bhp for a representative figure for comparison with the baseline with 5 speed gearbox.

Runs for reported figures completed with bonnet open and dyno fan on. Run with and without air filter with no material difference.

Regular MX5 content viewers will have noticed the large gap in announcing the plan to add this kit and the eventual loading of this video...

The kit all went on last summer (yes, a year ago) and despite some challenges that BBR overcame whilst the car was with them (they were very helpful, went above and beyond and stayed late to remedy the same day), everything went well.

The dyno day covered in this video was filmed back in August last year and I was waiting for a dry trackday for some B roll footage and glorious ITB sounds. Unfortunately at the first dry day in the car, the aftermarket clutch died , we then discovered some sill rust that needed cutting out and repairing and here we are another 6 months down the line without any real dry running... sad times!

Given the lack of progress with the car as other things have been prioritised (more about them in other videos), I wanted to get the vid edited and published to avoid further delays. So apologies that we don't have the sights and sounds of us smashing it around Cadwell in beautiful sunshine. That day will come... eventually!!

In the meantime, if anyone can recommend a suitable, nice to use clutch, that can take a bit of stick, or a friendly garage in the east midland to repair our rusty sills, please let us know!! :-)
