Throughout the Second World War inside of the concentration camps there were many brutal execution methods used. At Dachau concentration camp one shocking execution method and torture method used was salt water torture. This was an experiment in which the SS dreamed of purifying salt water to use for the German Army but the prisoners of Dachau became the test subjects.

Because of this if someone was selected for the experiment then it was a death sentence and their ordeal would be completely harrowing and brutal. Prisoners subjected to salt water experiments dehydrated very quickly and they resorted to extreme lengths to survive.
