ATTENTION RUNNERS! This video includes 4 mobility exercises that work the feet to the lumbar spine and everything in between, touching on those areas most often neglected that can lead to running injuries like achilles tendinopathy, patellofemoral pain and shin splints, to name a few.

You can avoid the frustration associated with having to stop running due to nagging pain and use these exercises to deal with the root causes of most issues versus treating the symptoms i.e. ice, massage, rest, pain-killers and anti-inflammatories.

EXERCISES

00:00 Intro

01:58 Big Toe Dissociation - improves intrinsic foot muscle strength and big toe extension ROM, which will help you avoid compensatory overpronation

04:08 Banded Ankle Dorsiflexion Mobilization - improves ankle dorsiflexion ROM and intrinsic foot muscle strength, which is related to a number of issues such as achilles tendinopathy, most wear and tear knee issues and even hamstring tears

05:45 Hinged Knee Flexion-Extension - activates the VMO, lengthens the hamstrings, mobilizes the SI joint and trains full (terminal) knee extension

07:35 Standing Dead Bug - works the diagonal core pattern by activating the psoas, obliques and opposite latissimus dorsi while training single-leg balance
