This is just a painting process of a pink flamingo, I always wanted to paint one but it seemed so overwhelming! Then I saw an amazing photography and this idea finally became a reality!

I only use 6 watercolours for this painting and most of it is done with Rose Quartz from White Nights – a very opaque watercolour that I didn’t know how to use. It does a brilliant job with this flamingo though. A violet, red orange (Geranium Red), dark red (Alizarin Crimson) allow to add more interest to the painting.
I drop some salt here and there to create some texture as well. If you do so, make sure to let it dry thoroughly.

- Flat brush to remove watercolours
