If you're interested in jailbreaking your iOS device, you have probably at least once dealt with the idea of downgrading or upgrading with saved SHSH2 blobs. It's not as easy as it may sound, and some very important factors must be taken into consideration to ensure the downgrade/upgrade can be done and the SEP and Baseband are compatible.

But what really is SEP and Baseband? What is a Blob? What is a Nonce Generator? When are they compatible and when are they not? All of these have been explained in detail in a blog post I made a few weeks ago on my website. If you need any of these concepts clarified, definitely check it out.
