From @bigmamacooks_ : At 9 years old, Tostones con Salami was one of the first meals I made on the stove. It was barely a meal. The Tostones I could salvage were burned to a crisp, and the salami, que ni se diga! But this will always be one of those little meals that make me smile, it connects to little me, my upbringing, my roots, and the Dominican community in NYC. (Fun fact: Washington Heights, is now officially referred to, and listed as ‘Little Dominican Republic’ 🇩🇴 on Google Maps!)
