“I like to offer up my space to heal—do whatever they need to do to release this energy, all that nastiness and gunk we tend to pick up from all these events. This also influences my spirituality,” says Remi Dior Martin, who shares their story in our fourth episode of “Stories From the Movement.”

Remi shares how they have discovered their civic duties as a healer for the community. “I didn’t really even know I was a healer until recently... but this recent uprising has me on my knees. I get up and pray morning and night for the safety of my friends.”

As the racial justice movement has gained momentum in recent months, our team here at Center for Interfaith Relations set out to document this pivotal moment through the lens of faith. We talked with community members about what has inspired them to rise up and how faith has shaped their role in the current movement.

The result is a video series chronicling their voices.
