BMW has introduced a full-size 7-passenger SUV called the X7. Built on a longer platform shared with the new X5, this larger X7 has the same engines, drivetrain and available options as the X5 but in a larger package. The X7 is powered by either a 3.0L Turbo 6-Cylinder or a bi-turbo V8. The power goes to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission. Both the X5 and X7 have the same dash featuring two 12.3-inch screens for the instrument cluster and iDrive system. The third row of seats is roomy enough for adults and the second row of seats can be operated remotely from the front seat, rear cargo area and with one-touch of a button. The X7 makes a run to 100km/h in 6.1 second using the 3.0L 6-cylinder, a half second slower than the equivalent X5.
