Jim shares how we get to be a part of Acts 29 and church planting globally. He shares some numbers and our story of church planting and celebrates how we've been able to be involved.

In 2021, Acts 29 welcomed 58 new churches into our diverse, global community—including 30 brand-new church plants! We have hundreds of church planters in our pipeline and expect our global network of churches to nearly double in size over the next few years!

Last year, we celebrated over 7,500 conversions in Acts 29 churches globally as more people made decisions to follow Jesus!

Does your church have a personal story related to church planting you can share? Or has your church been involved in planting another church in Acts 29? Share these stories with your congregation!

Every quarter, Acts 29 church leaders and attendees come together to pray with brothers and sisters around the world at our Global Prayer Meeting. Our next Global Prayer meeting is on April 27. Attendees must register in advance by visiting a29.co/GP-APR22.

Acts 29 is a global network for churches serious about church planting. There’s an African proverb that says, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” The Acts 29 global community knows we can best bring the gospel to the ends of the earth when we do it in partnership with churches who share our passion for making disciples of all nations. Our efforts are multiplied and our God is glorified when we work together to advance his kingdom on earth.

We’re made up of over 700 churches in nearly 50 countries. On any given Sunday, our members are worshiping in over 30 languages!

We recruit, train, assess, and holistically support churches, church leaders, and church planters to plant healthy, multiplying churches. We partner with believers around the world to plant churches in all contexts—suburban, urban, rural, and everything in-between—and in any place where Jesus is neither named nor known.

We believe the church is God’s primary mission strategy on earth. Therefore, being faithful to the Great Commission’s call to make disciples means being passionate about church planting.

Local churches stand as a trusted presence in a community, offering hope and help amid trials and tragedies, proclaiming Christ and seeing lives transformed by his gospel and for his glory. As we plant more healthy, multiplying churches, we advance Christ’s kingdom on earth. This is the beauty of church planting.

5 Distinctives of Acts 29:
1) We are passionate about gospel centrality.
2) We enthusiastically embrace the sovereignty of God’s grace in saving sinners.
3) We recognize and rest upon the necessity of the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit for all life and ministry.
4) We are deeply committed to the spiritual and moral equality of men and women, and to men as responsible servant-leaders in both home and church.
5) We embrace a missionary understanding of the local church and its role as the primary means by which God chooses to establish his kingdom on earth.
