The material feed tube guides filament material down to the extruder on the Metal X printer. Feed tubes are a regular wear item and require periodic inspection and replacement to ensure reliable machine operation. Maintenance activity is managed by the machine software and users are reminded to inspect the feed tube at specified intervals. This video demonstrates the process to replace the lower metal material feed tube.
