Peter Klutt presents the Legendary 1966 GT40 MKII-B. A closer look at the original 1966 GT40 that raced at Le Mans in 1966 and 1967 with Dan Gurney behind the wheel. This car is one of the few GT40s involving both Carroll Shelby and Holman-Moody. This car was the pole sitter at Le Mans in 1966 setting the all time fastest lap at Le Mans at the time, and lead the majority of the race. This car also sat on the pole at the 24HR of Daytona in 1967 with Dan Gurney and AJ Foyt as the drivers.

In 1967 at Le Mans was one of three GT40s converted to MKII-B specifications with only two cars recieving the complete upgrades.

After It's racing career the car was hidden in Japan until being brought back to the USA and restored to exact 1967 Le Mans specifications by two of the foremost GT40 restoration shops. in 2016 the car was shown at pebble beach concours d'elegance and placed 1st in its class.
