One way to describe this professional rotisserie restoration in a single word would be “stunning.” This shape of the 1970 Charger R/T already represents one of Dodge’s most notable body stylings. Add to that fact the car’s stellar paint selection, a matching-numbers driveline and solid documentation, and single descriptive words disappear. With a build date of May 27, 1970, this special car is a late-season build, and it will come with its Chrysler Registry documentation, a broadcast sheet, an original owner’s manual, sales brochures, restoration receipts and a thumb drive of associated photographs. It all adds up into an excellent opportunity to own a classic Mopar muscle car.

Beneath its shapely hood is the 375 HP 440 Magnum high-performance V-8 engine topped by the dual-snorkel air cleaner with correct piepan. The car is fitted with air conditioning, which was not available when ordering the R/T’s other multiple-carburetor engine packages that year. The engine is backed by the D32 A727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission, and power brakes are also part of the package.

EV2 Hemi Orange paint cloaks the exterior, and it’s complemented by black pinstriping that wraps around the door-mount scoops, a feature exclusive to the 1970 Charger’s exterior. The car further features a white vinyl top and matched white vinyl bucket seat interior. This includes the center console with shift handle, wood-grain trim, a deluxe dash cluster with 150 MPH speedometer and Tic-Toc-Tach, a left-hand remote mirror and a radio. Outside, chrome details include the hood pins, exhaust tips, flip-open gas cap, Charger script roof line emblems and the well-designed wraparound front bumper and covered headlamps. The final touch would be the styled road wheels, now equipped with modern BF Goodrich Radial T/A raised white-letter tires.

The 1970 Charger R/T was the herald of a new decade, a proud member of the Dodge Scat Pack and the final year for this body shape. With its optional and standard equipment, paperwork and attention to detail, this example defines “stunning” in more ways than one.
