Camping in the Hills Above Da Nang, Vietnam

Recently, the students and faculty from my university went on a "Bond" Fire Camping weekend in the hills above Da Nang, Vietnam. This is the first time I have gone camping in this country and it was a great experience complete with roasting marshmallows, BBQ, games, and beautiful settings.

Join us on a fun excursion to the verdant hills above Da Nang, Vietnam, where 68 Park provides a peaceful retreat. This camping trip combines rustic appeal, community, and adventure. Our latest YouTube clip features a night of camping, bonfires, and endless natural beauty with a bunch of dynamic university students.

Sleeping under the stars is a fond memory or desired experience for many. After a year away from the woods, this excursion is a return to my roots and my first camping trip in Vietnam's stunning scenery. Even though many places offer 'glamping', our experience at 68 Park is authentic camping with all the oddities and delights of outdoor life.

Imagine diving into a refreshing swimming hole on a hot day or snuggling under a blanket of stars despite the weather's indications of rain but promise of adventure. Team campsites have pillows, blankets, and fans to beat the night's heat. Our experience is defined by the simplicity of the setting, from the common garden to the woodland that shelters our tents. Luxury here is nature's raw, unvarnished embrace.

We sleep on wooden pallets that remind us of the earth's firm embrace, watch a forest fire dance across the river, and roast marshmallows over a bonfire to turn them from pale innocence to golden perfection.

The real adventure is in the connections we make, not the activities. This journey connects students and teachers, allowing for laughter, anecdotes, and heartfelt conversations only nature can inspire. It breaks down barriers, opens hearts, and creates genuine friendships.

We discover the beauty of simplicity as we negotiate this experience, from the icy embrace of a river swim beneath a full moon to the introspective stillness of a morning by the pool. It may be rainless and uncomfortable, but these conditions make our daily conveniences more valuable.

More than just a camping trip, this excursion with 68 Park teaches gratitude, celebrates minimalism, and honors the human spirit's connection to nature and each other. We rediscover life in the rough and tumble of such events, thus it's important to leave our comfort zones.

Join us in this magical episode as we explore Vietnam's natural beauty, embrace adventure, and appreciate camping's basic yet profound joys. Always focus on the memories and lessons you learn, not just where you travel or what you see. We should explore the wild together since life unfolds there.
