PRG is no stranger to things requiring precise technical execution and expertise, which is why we partnered with GIANT SPOON on a first-of-its-kind 11-minute projection mapping on the entire south side of the Empire State Building. On May 26th NYC’s most recognizable landmark teased the season 4 premier of Netflix’s Stranger Things to approximately 5,000 people IRL and around 100 million across social streams. If you think those numbers are impressive, it took 46 – 30K laser projectors positioned at 40 stories up, a team of 10 skilled staff plus 20 laborers, 3 locations of #audio and #lighting support, 4 locations synched with GPS timecode connectivity and a custom projection network control system to pull it off. Massive congrats to the teams involved!
