This video shows the manufacturing process of a very simple pulse soldering iron. More precisely, the soldering iron is pulsed only in terms of rapid heating. At this soldering iron, the tip itself is the heating element. After the soldering iron is heated it can be used like any other soldering iron, designed for long-term operation.

In this soldering iron, it is very easy to change the tip, and it does not require a separate ground wire, since the soldering iron power circuit is connected to the tip. That is, you can ground any of the power wires. In all my homemade soldering irons, I minimized the distance from the grip to the end of the tip.

To build a soldering iron does not require micanite or mica, which greatly simplifies the search for materials.
