Thanks to Van X there is a solution to the void that is the upper glove box on the VW Transporter T6.1

Why Volkswagen hasn’t made a comfort style dash for the T6.1 is anyone’s guess but this neat idea which can be fitted in as little as five minutes could be a nice upgrade to hide a few odds and ends in the upper cubby hole/glove box.

Fitted with magnets the lid easily locates into position. We have the textured version which is a pretty close match to the standard dash finish. A gloss black version is available for dashboards with the gloss black radio surround.

A nice touch is the lid always ends up in the right spot so no faffing trying to get it lined up.
The magnets come with handy guides to locate them and make fixing them into the correct super quick, no guessing, no additional holes.

We recommend drilling a 1.5mm pilot hole to make easy work of putting the screws in. Don’t drill too deep into the dash, you can use some masking tape wrapped around the drill bit to aid you. About 10mm should be deep enough.
