It's not as safe, but I'd still choose a Hyundai Venue over other cheap small SUV models.

It's considerably nicer to live with, it doesn't have as many annoying safety systems, and as long as you don't ask too much of the engine, it's fine for urban driving. It has a smaller footprint than most other SUVs on the market, and it still has a roomy interior for a family - including a big boot and back seat.

If you just want a comfortable and pretty simple SUV for city driving, it could be a lot better option than a Haval Jolion or Chery Omoda 5.

But then again, it doesn't have a turbo engine, doesn't have five-star ANCAP safety, and isn't as flashy as either of those models.
