A handsome and talented film star Edgar Ramirez was born in 1977, in Venezuela. As a child, he often moved with his family to various countries and that’s why is fluent in English, German, French and Italian languages.
In 1999 he graduated from the Andres Bello Catholic University with a degree in mass communication and planned to pursue a career in international relations business. That’s why he began working as an executive director of Dale al Voto, creating campaigns for television, radio, etc.
However, performing arts was his other big passion and so in 2003 he made a decision to try his hand in the moviemaking business. In such a way, that same year he appeared in a soap opera called Cosita Rica. After that he featured in Carlos, The Counselor, Hands of Stone, Gold, Bright and dozens of other television projects. Despite all these TV works, the celebrity managed to reach real fame and recognition only after portraying Gianni Versace in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story of 2018.
Apart from that, Edgar can also be seen in several music videos by such popular artists as Residente and SanLuis.
Finally, he is also a philanthropist, who supports an international human-rights organization “No Dispares”.

The father’s name is Filiberto and he is a military diplomat. Due to his work, the family regularly relocated to different countries and lived there. The father and son share a tight bond and Filiberto is very proud of all son’s career heights. In 2018 he even accompanied him to the Emmy Awards.

The mother Soday works as an attorney. She has always been very supportive of her stellar son and is close with him till present days. She supported him at the premiers of The Bourne Ultimatum and Hands of Stone.

The film performer also has an older sister Nataly. Unfortunately, there is absolutely no available information about her age and occupation. Yet, we do know that she is a mother to two wonderful children.

Speaking of Ramirez’s personal life, it is no secret that he does his best to keep it under the radar no matter what. However, some information is still known. For instance, he once dated Nereida Solis. Then there started appearing rumors of him being romantically involved with Ana De Armas, as they kissed at 2016 Cannes Film Festival. However, both parties commented that they were just friends and nothing more than that. Nowadays, it is not known whether the actor is dating someone or is single.
